Job Summary:
Assigns diagnostic and procedure codes to patient records. Enters abstract data in computer and
generates reports as required.

Education Required
•Education/Credential Requirements:
•High school or equivalent preferred.
•Minimum credential of Certified Coding Associate (CCA) from the American Health Information
Management Association (AHIMA) upon employment or within six months of employment.
Experience
•Previous experience in coding preferred
